LyricFinder is a free tool that helps you find songs by typing a line from the lyrics. Running the site requires a small amount of information about how visitors use it. This page explains what is collected, what happens to it, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain English rather than legal jargon so you can actually read it.

What Information We Collect
When you visit LyricFinder, the server logs basic technical information that most websites receive by default. That includes your IP address, the type of browser and device you use, the language your browser reports, the page you came from, and the pages you view here. None of this identifies you by name. It is the same kind of information your internet provider, your browser, and any other website you open handle every day.
If you contact us through the contact form or by email, you choose to share your name, email, and whatever message you write. That information is used only to reply to you. It is not added to any mailing list and it is not shared with anyone.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
LyricFinder uses cookies to keep the site working smoothly and to understand how visitors use it in aggregate. Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Ours do three main things: remember your preferences during a session, help the site load faster on repeat visits, and feed anonymous usage data to the analytics tools that tell us which features are working.
You can turn cookies off through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may behave less smoothly if you do, but the core search still works.
Analytics and Third-Party Tools
We use Google Analytics (or a similar service) to see which pages are popular, how long people stay, and roughly where visitors are in the world. Analytics providers receive anonymous traffic data, not your personal details.
The site also shows advertising through Google AdSense. Ads may use cookies to show content that is more relevant to you. You can change your ad personalisation settings at google.com/settings/ads at any time.
Search results on the Find Song by Lyrics page come from Google Programmable Search. When you type a query, Google handles the lookup and returns the matching songs. Their terms and privacy rules apply to that request.
How We Use This Information
The information above is used for three things: running the site, improving it, and keeping it safe. In practice that means fixing bugs, spotting unusual traffic patterns, measuring which pages need work, and nothing else. We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not pass it to third-party marketers.
External Links
When you open a search result, the link may take you to a different website (a lyric archive, a streaming service, a video). Those sites have their own privacy rules. We do not control what they collect or how they use it. If you want to know, read the privacy page of the site you arrive on.
Your Rights
You can stop using the site at any time. You can disable cookies in your browser. If you have contacted us in the past and want your message deleted from our inbox, email us and we will delete it.
If you live in the EU, the UK, or a similar region, you have the rights your local law grants you (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection). The contact address below is the right place to exercise them, and we respond within a reasonable time frame.
Data Security
Standard technical measures are in place to prevent misuse of the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but the volume of personal information we actually hold is small (a handful of contact-form emails) and handled with care. Admin passwords are hashed, two-factor authentication is on where available, and access is limited to the people who need it.
Children
LyricFinder is a general audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has contacted us, email us and we will remove anything they sent.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
