These Terms of Use set out the rules for using LyricFinder. By opening the site you agree to them. If any part of the terms is a problem for you, do not use the site. The text below is kept short and in plain English so you can actually read it.

1. What LyricFinder Is
LyricFinder is a free web tool for finding songs when you remember the words but not the title. You type a phrase from the lyrics and the site returns songs that contain that phrase, with title, artist, and album information. The site also offers related tools: Mood Finder, Lyrics Translation, and a Lyrics Quiz.
LyricFinder is not a music streaming service. It does not host audio files. It does not sell music. It is a search and reference site for text-based lyric discovery.
2. Who Can Use the Site
You can use the site if you are old enough to agree to these terms where you live (usually 13 or older, sometimes 16). If you are using the site on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for them.
3. Acceptable Use
Use the site in line with the law. Do not try to break into any part of it, overload the servers, scrape content in bulk, or run automated tools that copy the database. Do not send abusive or misleading content through the contact form. We can block access for anyone who does these things, with or without notice.
Normal human use is fine. Searching a lot of lyrics in a day because you are building a playlist is not a problem. Pointing a bot at the site to mirror it is.
4. Lyrics and Copyright
Song lyrics shown on the site remain the property of the artists, songwriters, publishers, and rights holders who own them. LyricFinder does not claim ownership of any lyrics. They are displayed under accepted fair-use principles for reference, study, and discovery.
If you are a rights holder and believe content on this site infringes your rights, get in touch through the contact page. Include the song and the URL where you saw it, and we will review and remove material promptly where appropriate.
5. Our Own Content
The design, text, code, and layout of LyricFinder belong to us. You are welcome to read, link to, and share the site. You may not copy the full site or large sections of it for a competing product without written permission.
6. Accuracy of Results
Search results are generated from a large database and come back ordered by relevance. Most of the time the top results are correct, but no search is perfect. Song lyrics can vary by edition, region, or live performance. Older tracks may be misattributed somewhere on the web and the search will inherit that. Treat the results as a helpful starting point, and double-check against an official source if you need to be certain.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
Some parts of the site use third-party services (Google Programmable Search for lyric lookup, Google AdSense for advertising, Google Analytics or similar for usage stats). Search results may link out to external sites such as lyric archives, streaming platforms, or videos. Those sites are run by other companies under their own terms and policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they do.
Following an external link is your choice. It is a good idea to read the terms and privacy policy of the site you land on.
8. No Warranties
The site is provided as it is, with no promises about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a specific purpose. We do our best to keep things working and the data clean, but we cannot guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, or that the results will meet your expectations. Use of the site is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
Within the limits of the law that applies to you, LyricFinder and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that result from using or being unable to use the site. That includes loss of data, missed profits, service interruption, or issues caused by third-party services linked from the site.
Where local law does not allow this limitation, our liability is capped at the minimum amount the law allows.
10. Ending Your Use of the Site
You can stop using the site at any time. We can also limit or block access for anyone who breaks these terms, with or without notice. If access is blocked, sections 4, 5, 8, 9, and 12 continue to apply.
11. Changes to These Terms
These terms may change over time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. If a change significantly affects your rights, we will try to highlight it on the homepage for a short period.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the site is operated. If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct contact, the courts of that country have exclusive jurisdiction. If one part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
